Dear Pet Owner

•  If you want a well-trained dog
•  If you’re tired of bad behaviours and the frustration they bring
•  If you want a good companion for life
•  If you’re eager to have a better relationship with your dog.
•  Call me: Daryle Schmidt Training Centre 780 621-8781

If you’re like many of my client’s, you’ve experienced the tug-of-war of a distracted dog.

When walking your dog, they’ve been distracted by the presence of people or another dog. They start pulling, barking, or misbehaving and the tug-of-war ensues.

It’s a very common frustration. And for some, it’s as embarrassing as having a child throw a temper-tantrum in public.

By simply teaching your dog how to read your body movement, you can eliminate this misbehaviour entirely!

Without saying a word…

Your body language is all you need to enjoy your dog with no verbal commands whatsoever.

This is just one of the strategies I reveal in my “One on One Lessons” in teaching your dog his or her Grade 1. Doesn’t that beat the tug-of-war we’ve all witnessed some pet owners experience?

After all, according to research 93% of communication among humans is non-verbal. This is even more true when it comes to our dogs.

I offer a variety of services which include:

One on One lessons teaching "Basic Dog Obedience" which can take place at your home or my training facility. During the first lesson I will assess your dog and start the training process. At this time I will explain some dog psychology so you understand where your dog is coming from. I will also teach you why your dog is not responding to you and what to do differently to get positive results. By the end of the lesson you will participate as I start teaching you the skill of dog training. This style of training is the latest in dog psychology which is quite different than the traditional way. This first lesson takes 2 hours. Subsequent lessons are 1 hour and I usually return once a week for 3-4 sessions. If your dog needs additional training to over come ingrained behaviours and habits I can take your dog to my training centre until he is ready to return home.

I also board and train clients dogs when they are on holidays. Dogs can live with us in a peaceful country setting instead of being boarded out at kennels.

One of the most common mistakes I come across is people using human rational and human psychology to reason with their dogs. My methods use dog psychology to train dogs. I teach people to understand how their dog thinks and why they react in the manner they do. As a dog trainer I'm interested in correcting the dog without hurting his body. Then I'll be able to influence his mind which will motivate a change in his behaviour. Together as a group effort I can help you learn positive ways to get positive results. I will show you how to correct unwanted behaviour and when to give praise.

I'd be happy to help you with your dog. Your dog's unwanted behaviour is very common. I deal with these types of problems on a regular basis. Give me a call to set up a lesson. I can show you some lessons and exercises that will keep your dog happy and balanced.
